While Toad Hill'is She's Magic was away for training down in Sullivan, Illinois ... early in the morning (6 am) I heard the phone ring. Now a call that early is usually considered bad news, I answered the phone and it was Amanda. Amanda is training Magic for driving, so I said hello and next thing out of my month was: "What's wrong?"
Amanda said no problem, just she was out with the minis in the pasture and there was Magic with a foal by her side. Now THAT WAS Totally UNEXPECTED!!!

A Walk in the Park . Dec. 13, 2014

Debbie Tennant owns Tall Oaks Farms and has a number of miniature horses and a team of Halfingers. During the Christmas season she participates in Christmas Parades and also gives evening rides in the area. For the past three weekends she has given wagons rides at Blue Island, Wilmington, IL. Of the horses in these photos four of the six are from Toad Hill Minis. Debbie also has three others that rotate depending on the number of wagons and carriages she takes to these events.

Below Summer Wine is hot and sweaty, but it is 95 degrees outside and she is still having fun running around

Early rising this morning, went out to feed mares and surprise...Stormy Weather was definitely in foal, but no longer. Believe this is a filly and was out with 6 mares and foals, just visiting with the herd. Brought the mare and foal in...snapped some photos, fed and watered mom and left them in for the day so little one could rest and bond with mom. Thinking of calling her: Toad Hill's Last of Summer Wine... last tv program I saw last night and she is the last foal for this summer.

Toad Hill's Last of the Summer Wine is the filly born to Stormy 7/31/2014.  AMHR registered. Mare is Toad Hill's Stormy Weather (AMHR-37") and sire is Lucky Four RebelChase RebelHeir (AMHA/AMHR).
